Reporting through to the Managing Director, this role will be for preparing and defending the extension of time and disruption claims. It is a highly autonomous role and requires a motivated self-starter who has excellent time management, planning and communication skills.
This current position is a permanent role.
Job tasks and responsibilities
Some of the key tasks are:
• Prepare extension of time claims, disruption and time-related costs.
• Review and analyse the extension of time and disruption claims.
• Write detailed narrative reports about the extension of time claims
• Review and analyse project correspondences (RFI’s, CI’s, Meeting Minutes, progress photos, programmes etc.) and identify delay and disruption events.
• Review contract documents and investigate the impact of the special conditions on the claim
• Produce and implement industry-standard techniques such as Time Impact Analysis, As-Built v As-planned, Impacted As-Planned and Collapsed As-Built.
• Generate histograms, charts, resource levelling/charts etc.
SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND ATTRIBUTES REQUIRED:

• Excellent report (claims) writing skills
• Superior communication skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Extreme attention to details.
• Excellent skills in using MS Project, Primavera P6, PowerPoint, Word, Excel.
• Excellent knowledge and experience using NZ standard contracts NZS3910
• Excellent organisational and planning skills
• Must be able to work independently with very little supervision
• 3D modelling using Sketchup or Revit, or CAD is a PLUS
• Good understanding and knowledge about 4D and 5D planning is a PLUS.
Required Experience:
The successful candidate must have a degree or relevant qualification in Engineering, construction management, or a related field is a must.
Must be from the construction industry with a minimum of 10 years’ experience in one or more of the followings:
• Preparing and defending extension of time claims
• Scheduling & Planning
• Contract administration background
